Atomo

Davide Tinelli, also known as Atomo (1965), is an Italian artist from Milan.

Atomo, artist by passion and profession

Specialised in area of painting, he explores various types of graffiti, writing, Street Art, Urban Art and tagging. He is renowned for being one of the first Italian artists to explore these specific styles and likes to consider himself an artist by passion and profession. His work uses themes of socio-political issues, whether it being ecologically, politically or socially, and his artworks reflect these issues of today’s complex world through his unique style. Active on his local socio-political scene, Atomo was the city councillor of Milan between 1993 and 2006.  In 2007 he co-organized Street Art Sweet Art at the PAC – Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea in Milan.

Most important exhibitions

Atomo has also participated in various exhibitions, such as Mosaico at the 54th Venice Biennale, and Chained project at Expo Milano 2015. The artist has been a part of many group exhibitions that are close to his beliefs, projects such as: ‘Collettiva’ at Spazio Tadini (Milano, 2015), ‘Barchette Flash mob’ FAN Festival Acqua Navigli (Milano, 2014), Scala Mercalli at Padiglione della Musica Renzo Piano (Roma, 2008) and also ‘Street Art Sweet Art’ at PAC – Padiglione d’arte contemporanea (Milano, 2007).
