Welcome back!

In today’s article we want to tell you about another important collaboration from one of our artists: JonOne x AirFrance!

In November 2015 on the occasion of its 80th anniversary, the French national airline AirFrance reveals a unique collaboration with street artist JonOne. A New Yorker of Dominican descent, JonOne is one of the most appreciated contemporary artists in France and around the world. His unmistakable style, which skillfully blends street art and painting, is deeply influenced by American Abstract Expressionism and his favorite technique is dripping!

With an exceptional canvas, a Boeing 777, JonOne creates a unique and original design, reworking the company’s trademark, the accent, and recalling the colors of the French flag. This work praises freedom, one of the founding values of the country but also of the airline: Air France, France is in the air!

Operational for a year, this aircraft flew for the first time from Paris to New York, a city dear to the artist, where JonOne signed an exclusive work created for the French giant that was displayed in the airline’s lounge at New York’s JFK airport.
Exclusive items conceived and designed by JonOne were then made available on their e-shop, recalling the large-scale work created on the Boeing.

We loved this fusion of contemporary art and engineering! It gave JonOne the opportunity to express himself and think outside the canonical patterns of the canvas: it is from these elements that you can see the versatility and creativity of an artist. Well done JonOne! And did you like it?
