Welcome back to our Street art blog! Today we will tell you about a unique collaborationL’ATLAS X FENTY! In May 2019, L’Atlas created the logo for Rihanna’s newest fashion house.

Rihanna was the first woman to develop and direct a clothing line launched by luxury company LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), and for the occasion he chose a new logo designed and created by the artist L’Atlas!

According to our artist, in the late 90s and early 2000s street artists observed the use that the big brands made of public space. Words became logos and legibility was secondary, what mattered was that it remained imprinted in the collective unconscious. Slowly this way of thinking entered the artistic processes of those who observed and once street art was established, the big brands returned to street artists and graphic designers in general.

Atlas is one of the major figures of street art, in France and in the world. His style between calligraphy, graphics, tags and optical games is unmistakable. In his works you get lost as in a labyrinth, between abstraction and geometry. Not least for the logo created on this unique occasion, in which he brought the name of the brand into his world, making it a cryptic work.
